UPDATE ON CSPA TRAVEL INSURANCE:  Travel insurance access queries

We have received the following from the Towergate Health & Protection team following the launch of the travel insurance members benefit.

"Following the launch of the Lighthouse Travel insurance policy, we are aware that some members who have tried to obtain a quote or buy a policy on the customer website have experienced difficulties.

Some members are experiencing technical difficulties with parts of the site, while some members are finding the medical questionnaire process too complex.

The team at Towergate Health & Protection team are on hand to assist members where-ever possible.

If you are attempting to obtain a quote online but are finding the medical questionnaire process complex and would like support with this, then please contact us on 0800 389 7724 and we will guide you through the questions to complete the screening process.

If you have tried to access the website and experienced technical issues, such as a page not loading properly or content not appearing, then please email us at [email protected] with details of your feedback.

It will be helpful if you can provide a brief description of the problem, such as which part of the site you are in and which part of the process you are trying to complete, and confirm which browser you are using (e.g. Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari etc). We will share your feedback directly with the tifgroup web development team, who are working to troubleshoot any issues that arisen since launch.

Travel insurance is now available to purchase

Our insurance brokers Towergate Health & Protection have confirmed that Lighthouse, the new Travel Insurance offering for CSPA members has now gone live from 5 April 2022.

The new policy offers members the opportunity to obtain a quote and purchase a policy online.

Travel insurance is now available to purchase. Our insurance brokers Towergate Health & Protection have confirmed Lighthouse, the new Travel Insurance offering has now gone live from 5 April 2022.

The new policy offers members the opportunity to obtain a quote and purchase a policy online, via the new member website available via the main CSPA website www.CSPA.co.uk

Alternatively, members can phone the team on 0800 389 7724, and the Towergate Health & Protection team will be pleased to assist members through the process of obtaining a quote and purchasing a policy.

The Statement released by Towergate Health & Protection:

Following an extensive review of the market by Towergate Health & Protection, we are pleased to confirm that we have launched a travel insurance scheme, arranged specially for members of CSPA.

Following the previous insurer’s departure from the UK travel market we have agreed a new travel insurance policy with tifgroup and Arch Insurance (UK) Limited, which is designed specifically for the older demographic. The policy offers both single trip and annual multi trip cover.

Arch Insurance (UK) Limited is an award-winning, A rated insurer, part of the global Arch insurance group of businesses. Tifgroup is one the UK’s leading travel insurance providers, who specialise in providing innovative and tailored travel insurance solutions. The product is designed by tifgroup, insured by Arch, and arranged by Towergate Health & Protection. The maximum age for annual multi trip cover is 85 years, with higher age limits available via a single trip cover policy.

Summary of the cover available

The policy premium will be based on your age, medical history and area of travel as well as any additional benefit options if chosen, such as cruise cover. A summary of the main benefits is below, but please refer to the policy document for more details:

We are receiving very high levels of calls at the moment which is resulting in longer waiting times to get through to our team, and we would like to take this opportunity to apologise. It is likely we will receive a lot of calls now that the new policy has launched, from members who have been waiting to purchase cover.

If members have general questions about the new policy that are not answered by the attached FAQ document, but do not need to purchase a policy at this time, we would be grateful if they could wait a little longer before calling our team.
